The Institute is hosted adjacent to Msonge Family Farm, led by Dr Mwatima Juma and family, who are prominent advocates for Permaculture and organic practice in Zanzibar.
PPIZ facilitate small scale farmer training initiatives, women empowerment programmes, host volunteers and inspire many visitors and students.
Your learning context is practical: you will engage with the reality of designing production and restoration in rural Zanzibar.
Alex and Caspar will facilitate their fourth collaborative course on the grounds of PPIZ.
Our approach to the PDC is inclusive, dynamic and participatory. This well designed course will equip you with the skills to approach and execute a thoughtful and practical design for personal and social resilience.
