AgroKilimo
The overall aim of the project is to strengthen Tanzania’s agroecology experimentation and demonstration centers through capacity building and networking. This will involve the development of common principles and protocols, leading to effective networking at national level and with experienced international partners,
particularly French public and private institutions. There are six (6) centers involved in the project: the Vianzi Center in Morogoro, run by the NGO SAT (Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania); the Bihawana Center of the Ministry of Agriculture in Dodoma, which is currently negotiating an MoU to delegate coordination with TOAM;
the experimental and demonstration garden run by the NGO PPIZ (Practical Permaculture Institute of Zanzibar), which is also associated with the Msonge Organic Family Farm; the SJS Organic Farm and the Urban Farm Center in Mwanga both run by the NGO SJS (St. Joseph Sustainable); the Centre Urban Farm in Arusha
run by the NGOs IDP (Iles de Paix) and Recoda (Research, Community Organizational Development Associates); and the Mogabiri Farm Extension in Tarime run by the eponymous NGO (MFEC).
